Too Much Tuesday

My boys are too much!

We're at the table, and Logan asks Dylan to share his chicken. So Dylan shares, Logan responds with a hearty "thank you, Dylan!" Dylan says: "My pleasure!"

Where do they learn this stuff?

The weather is getting cooler so it was time to bust out the pants. When Logan put his pants on, he tells me that "these pants are too big! Look (pointing to his feet), they go all the way to my feet. I can't wear these!"

My little Florida boy.

Silly Sunday

OK ... so the 'Funny Friday' only lasted a few weeks. I have funny stories every day, but I just can't get to the computer every Friday (I don't want to look at a computer after a week of it 8 hours a day). Here goes some more funny stories from this past week:

I coughed the other morning. Dylan said, "bless you Mommy." I said thank you but explained that you don't have to say 'bless you' when someone coughs. So he asked, "then what do you say?" Logan responded, "Cover your mouth."

The boys enjoy naming the color of semi trucks while we're driving on the interstate. There was an orange truck up ahead, but he was going too fast for me to catch up for the boys to see the color. So Dylan tells me from the back seat, "put the pedal to the metal Mommy." Yeah ... something Daddy taught them. Isn't that cute?

The boys were playing on the bed, when Dylan took it too far and pushed Logan off. After going to time-out to think about what he did, he went over to Logan, apologized and gave him a hug. Dylan said, "sorry Logan." Logan responded (with hand motions), "that's fine Dyl-ah. Don't worry about it." He was so serious, so grown-up!

While eating dinner tonight, Dylan informed me that Daddy was using potty words in the car when they went to the grocery store earlier. When I asked him which words (after that came out of my mouth, I realized I shouldn't have asked for him to repeat them), Dylan told me: "I can't say them Mommy. They're not nice." Nice save!!
(yes ... we are working on Daddy's language.)

Funny Friday

A day off for me ... yeay!

I have 2 funny stories.

1. Logan, drinking from his big boy cup, decided to stir the water in his cup with a bubble wand. I explained that there are now bubbles in his water and he shouldn't drink it. I told him to dump the water and get fresh water (from the refrigerator door ... they love that they can do that now).

So Logan, right there and then, dumped his cupful of water on the floor (luckily outside on the patio) and went inside to get more water. The one time he really listened to me. HA!

2. Dylan made #2 in his pull-up (and, yes, I explained he should be using the potty for such business) . When I took off his pull-up, he turned around and said, "holy cow, that is a lot of cocky for such a little boy." They hear/remember everything I say!

Have a fabulous weekend!

Funny Friday

(almost didn't make it for Friday)

Usually before bathtime, the boys love to run around the house naked ... something about being "free," I guess. One night this week, they decided it would be fun to jump on the bed and do the hokey pokey.

With hand motions and all (pointing fingers upward and moving their arms up and down), my two little pookies are bouncing on the bed, singing/dancing the hokey pokey ... butt naked!!!

The funniest part of this story: I have pictures!
(I can't really post those here - I find winkie pictures of my sons slightly inappropriate for this day in age.)

I can't wait to bust those out 10 years from now! I was laughing so hard that I couldn't muster out the words to stop them. Too, too funny!

Have a fabulous weekend.

Funny Friday

Every Friday, I would like to share a funny story or something funny that the boys have said (our days are filled with them!) ...

At school, Fridays are show-and-tell days. The boys look forward to bringing something that relates to the subject of the week. This week, it was the 5 senses. So this morning, I asked the boys what they should bring. Logan responded: Tiger (his stuffed Tiger that he's had since he was 1) because "he's so sooooooft."

Dylan responded: "I want to eat M&Ms." I told him that he couldn't have M&Ms so early in the morning. Dylan said: "But Mommy, I want to taaaaaaaaste them" (as he stuck his tongue out at me to show me that you taste with your tongue).

Too funny!

(Thanks to my dear friend Suzi for inspiring me to create a blog ... I enjoy reading her blogs, especially her "Thankful Thursdays.")
